Hey, I'm Annabel, a fitness coach and founder of the boutique fitness community, Annabel K.
There was a time when I spent my days working in a fast-paced, highly demanding job in Fashion. On the outside, I appeared to be in control of everything, but internally, it was a very different story.
The constant demands and pressures of the role meant that I'd prioritise everything and everyone before my own sanity and wellbeing. I'd struggle to focus on my health and would skip meals to manage my weight. I felt tired, crappy and bloated - trapped in a vicious cycle of bad habits. Exercise became my release. I felt freedom with movement.

I woke up with a bottle of red wine in one had, a glass in the other. I knew I had to make a change. I decided I’d still entertain clients in the evening so long as I balanced this somehow. Kicking all the excuses to the curb, I made myself take full advantage of my lunch breaks by going for a run (or super slow jog to start with!). My endurance and strength took time to build, but the positive impact on my mood and increased productivity at work was immediate. I started cycling to work and eventually signed up for my first triathlon. I was hooked!
Living with scoliosis, having had 2 operations my spine is fixed to a titanic metal rod, I suffered aches and pains and there was a time when I thought exercise would never happen for me. Becoming an Ironwoman was never
in the plan!
