Don’t set goals: Reflect and take charge
Want to approach 2022 with a difference?
Here’s an awesome guide of questions you can use to help you align yourself and you desires (around health, work, relationships, life!) for 2022. It’s a set of really simple questions. When I did this I read the questions. I went for a run to clear my head and start processing my thoughts then I sat down with pen and paper and allowed my mind flood outward (writing things down really help to release and truly digest our crazy minds).
Personal growth starts with you making that decision that you are hungry enough to make change. This could be the very start…
Part 1 > REFLECTION
What is the hardest or most difficult thing I’ve overcome this year?
What am I most proud of? (how I overcame this? How has it changed me or impacted my life?)
What opportunity have you created from this challenged? (perhaps you helped someone? Learned something? Implemented something new?)
Part 2 > NOW
Reflect on something you’re going to leave behind in 2021 (a belief, a bad habit, a way of being)
Part 3 > CHOOSE YOUR PATHWAY
What are you going to take into 2022?
Choose 2 -3 words. These will be your 3 values for the year, your backbone to any decisions or choices you make in 2022
Now using these 3 words right down 2-3 goals or things you'd like to accomplish or work towards in 2022
These words you can apply to any challenge you face and it'll will help you maintain a focus and clear direction in every aspect of your life.
FYI… My 3 words and a little insight into my goals;
Fearless - be scared, make myself uncomfortable, the rewards will be better. Enter an ironman.
Faith - believe in myself and the process (for me this is geared toward my business).
Discipline - Is how habits are formed. Stick to my commitments. Never skip a day. My main goal is to meditate and make space in my head everyday (even if its just 3 minutes!)
My biggest learning for 2021 was that where focus goes energy flows. I hope you find this guide takes you to places you’ve never been before. I’ve got ya!
