HOW TO OWN YOUR BUSY
It takes effort; constantly mixing up the ingredients to feel connected so we’re always adding value because time is the only thing we can’t have back.
Exercise is a form of release, me time, thinking time. Thinking helps us to define and organise experiences, plan, learn, reflect and create. Studies has shown that busy people who value thinking time inhabit great qualities like being great decision makers, intuitive, creative and have an ability to stay calm when unexpected challenges arise.
Being busy is great, you can experience so much and open up new opportunities but if its negatively impacting your mental or physical well-being it just means you probably need to do it a bit differently.
Here are some tools that could use to help you own your busy:
Ruthlessly prioritise your daily tasks and let go of the things that no longer serve you
Plan in advance as much as possible – your meals for the week, trips away (and the logistics)
Colocate - keeping all your gym kit and equipment in one place so you’re ready to go for that run in the morning
Automate –purchases, reminders, bookings, birthday cards. Never leave something lingering in the back of your head to remember, this way you’ll save mental energy. Every little counts in a busy World.
Decrease temptations – if you have a sweet tooth, put the chocolates way out of reach so it’s difficult to get. If you’re a scroller – leave your mobile in another room whilst you’re chilling out or working
Joseph (the original creater of) Pilates) said “If your spine is stiff at 30, you are old. If it is flexible at 60, you are young.” Here are is a Pilates workout I absolutely loved creating and it’s one of my most viewed videos on Youtube Full body Pilates Circuit for endurance and strength
Honor your physical and mental well-being, use every tool possible to save time and energy and therefore lead the healthy lifestyle you deserve. Thinking time allows you to focus and reset so you can expand, live and grow… and own your busy.
